Planting Bean Seeds: What's the Best Depth?
Easy
Let's explore the depths of potting soil to find out which is best for growing bean plants. We'll plant 10 seeds in four different depths and observe the results.
Hypothesis
The hypothesis is that the best depth for growing bean plants in potting soil is 4cm.
Method & Materials
You will plant 10 seeds in four different depths of potting soil, water them every morning and night, and observe the results.
You will need potting soil, 10 bean seeds, and four pots.
Results
The results showed that the pot with 4cm of soil had 8 seeds germinate out of the 10 seeds that were planted, while the pot with 8cm of soil had no seeds germinate.
Why do this project?
This science project is interesting because it explores the depths of potting soil to find out which is best for growing bean plants.
