<P>
The purpose of this project is to find out if organic or inorganic fertilizer will produce the fastest growth results.  I predict the organic mixture of Alaska liquid fish emulsion will produce the fastest growth results.<P>
Six peat cups were filled with potting soil each having a dash of grass seed placed in them.  Three cups were fertilized with an organic fertilizer while three more were fertilized with an inorganic fertilizer.  Each cup was watered every other day and the fertilizer was added once a week.  The results were recorded for two weeks.<P>
My prediction was proved to be incorrect.  The inorganic fertilizer, Miracle Gro, proved to produce the fastest growth results.  On an average, the inorganic fertilizer grew 1.2 mm taller than the organic fertilizer in a time period of two weeks.

Botany is the study of how plants grow and interact with their surroundings, from flowers to trees to crops. Through studying botany, we can understand the vital role of plants in ecosystems and learn how to care for them effectively.

The purpose of this project is to find out if organic or inorganic fertilizer will produce the fastest growth results. I predict the organic mixture of Alaska liquid fish emulsion will produce the fastest growth results.

Join us on a weeks-long journey through a home gardener's tomato fertilizer experiment! She has taken on the challenge of testing three different types of fertilizers - both inorganic and organic - to determine which one would work best for her precious tomato plants. The three fertilizers in question are Miracle Grow Tomato and Vegetable Fertilizer, Alaska Fish Fertilizer, and Dr. Earth's Tomato and Vegetable Fertilizer.
