Sticky Tape
Easy
Ever wonder why some tape sticks better than others? In this experiment, we'll find out which type of tape works best on different surfaces.
Hypothesis
The hypothesis is that the tape will stick better to dryer surfaces and less slippery surfaces.
Method & Materials
You will test several types of tape by tying a piece of string to the tape and placing it onto a flat surface. You will then add washers to the clip until the tape is pulled up.
You will need several types of tape, a piece of string, a paper clip, and washers.
Results
The results showed that Tape A held the longest and was the strongest and most adhesive. It worked better than all of the other tapes chosen for the project.
Why do this project?
This science project is interesting because it shows how different surfaces can affect the adhesion of tape.
Also Consider
Experiment variations to consider include testing different types of tape and testing different surfaces.
