Raikou (ライコウ Raikō) is one of the three legendary dogs in the fictional Pokémon universe.

The Pokémon appears in the Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal video games. Raikou is an electric type. The force of this Pokémon combined with the other two legendary dogs is extremely powerful. Raikou is also obtainable in Pokémon Fire Red, Leaf Green, Colosseum, and the upcoming Pokémon Emerald games.

Anime apperences

There was a Raikou special in Japan which did not air in the United States or in the English version. The Raikou special starred Kenta, the main character of the Pokémon Gold and Silver Game Boy games.
