Multiplicative quantum number
A multiplicative quantum number is a quantum number whose conservation law applies to the product of quantum numbers under a given interaction; that is, the product of quantum numbers before the interaction equals the product of quantum number after the interaction. They are always associated to discrete symmetries.
For multi-particle systems, the total quantum number is usually the product of each particle's quantum numbers.
