List of Pokémon by stage
This chart shows the evolution chains of all 387 fictional Pokémon characters.
The chart is ordered by the National Pokédex numbers of the Basic Pokémon. In the case of split evolution trees, the possible evolutions are also ordered by their National Pokédex numbers.
Footnotes
¹ These Pokémon changed stages in the Gold and Silver versions of the Pokémon games because pre-evolutions to the Basic Pokémon in their evolutionary chains were introduced in that era. They are listed twice – once with the newer Basic Pokémon, and once without.
² These higher evolutions were introduced in the Gold and Silver versions.
³ These Pokémon changed stages in the Ruby and Sapphire versions of the Pokémon games because pre-evolutions to the Basic Pokémon in their evolutionary chains were introduced in that era. They are listed twice – once with the newer Basic Pokémon, and once without.
4'M is an unofficial glitch Pokémon. If 'M is not included, then Kangaskhan is a Basic Pokémon.
