Junior World Rally Championship
The Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) is a complementary series to the World Rally Championship (WRC) as is the World Rally Production Car Championship (WRPCC). JWRC was originally envisioned as a series for developing drivers it is limited to drivers below age 28, using cars very similar to WRC cars but with restricted power and two wheel drive only. Future restrictions on open car development or manufacturer concerns with rallying costs JWRC cars may be the future of the sport with rallies restricted to hardtopped roads where the JWRC cars are now very competitive, often finishing in the top five but they are less competitive on mixed roads or gravel allies (BLM)
