HMS Captain
At least six ships of the Royal Navy have been called HMS Captain.
- Captain of 74 guns, launched 1787, was a third-rate ship of the line. She was Admiral Horatio Nelson's flagship at the battle of Cape St. Vincent on February 14, 1797.
- Captain, launched 1869, was a masted turret ship of controversial design which was sunk in a gale on September 7, 1870 a few months after commissioning.
