Dogfish
The name dogfish is applied to a number of types of small sharks found in the northeast Atlantic, Pacific, and Mediterranean, especially three principal families – Scyliorhinidae, Squalidae and Squalidae. The name is applied only loosely and does not signify a close taxonomic relationship. A number of other unrelated fish, notably the bowfin, are also sometimes referred to as dogfish.

- Spiny Dogfish (Squalus acanthias)
