Delta
Delta can signify:
- Δ or δ, a letter of the Greek alphabet. See delta (letter)
- A triangular area of alluvial deposit at the mouth of a river, roughly in shape of Δ. See river delta.
- The large triangular region of alluvial deposit at the mouth of the river Nile in Egypt, bordering the eastern Mediterranean Sea. See Nile Delta.
- Δ, in math, to express a change or difference in values, e. g. temperature
- In mathematical finance delta, δ, is one of "The Greeks"; delta measures the sensitivity of the value of a derivative to changes in the price of its underlying instrument.
