Crank

A person who holds strong, unorthodox opinions is sometimes called a crank.
In mechanical engineering, a crank is a bent rod or the bent portion of an axle.
Crank is slang for several recreational drugs, including amphetamines, and methamphetamine.
In the United States in the late 19th Century, "cranks" were followers and enthusiasts of the game of baseball. This usage became archaic at the beginning of the 20th Century, when it was replaced by the word "fans".
