Autodromo Oscar Alfredo Galvez

The Autodromo Oscar Alfredo Galvez is a race circuit in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Built in 1952 with the blessing of Juan Peron, the Autodromo has been the only site of the Formula One Argentine Grand Prix, of which there were twenty, between 1953 and 1998. Located in a park in the southern part of the city, the circuit was originally named El Autodromo 17 de Octobre in honor of Peron. Situated on flat lands surrounded by large grandstands, spectators have an excellent viewing area of the whole circuit. Some races were run without the twisty infield section, bringing lap times down significantly.
