Abstract Experiment With Seed Depth by: Natalie R.
The purpose of this experiment is to find out which
depth is best for growing bean plants in potting soil. The procedure of
this experiment was first to plant the seed in four different depths. The
depths were 2, 4, 6, and 8. Then place 10 seeds evenly spaced in the pots.
Then fill the rest of the pot with soil leaving 1 inch at the top. Water
every morning at 7 am then at night at 7 pm. The Results of my experiment
was that pot (pot 4) which had 8cm of soil had no seeds germinate out of
the 10 seeds that were planted. The pot (pot 3) which had 6cm of soil had
1 germinate out of the 10 seeds that were planted. The pot (pot 2) which
had 4cm of soil had 8 seeds germinate out of the 10 seeds that were planted.
And, the pot (pot 1) which had 2cm of soil had 8 seeds germinate out of
the 10 seeds that were planted.
